Mission Statement

 

At Band Together Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to transform the lives of foster children and young adults in Southern California through the power of music. We believe that every child deserves the chance to discover their rhythm, find their voice, and belong to a community that believes in their potential. Through music education, mentorship, and real-world industry opportunities, we empower youth to dream bigger, grow stronger, and create a future filled with harmony, hope, and purpose.

Our Three Areas of Focus

 

1. Instruments of Change
We provide new and gently used musical instruments to foster youth who otherwise wouldn’t have access to them — giving them the tools to create, express, and heal through the universal language of music.
 

2. Lessons That Last a Lifetime
Through private and group lessons led by professional musicians and educators, we offer ongoing music instruction that builds skill, confidence, and community. Our goal is not just to teach notes — but to nurture dreams.
 

3. Mentorship & Music Industry Opportunities
We connect teens and young adults with mentors and real-world experiences in the music industry — from studio visits and live event participation to shadowing producers, performers, and managers. By bridging education and experience, we help them turn passion into purpose and creativity into career.

Each team member brings unique experience and heart to the table, working collaboratively to create meaningful opportunities for young creatives to grow, express themselves, and discover their full potential. Together, we are building a future where every child has access to inspiration, mentorship, and the tools they need to thrive.
